Winter is often a slow period for AC companies, and when work is available, they’re often willing to offer a lower rate to keep their work crews active instead of risking losing good workers to unemployment. During the spring and summer, everyone wants work done on their system, which means a premium rate is charged.
- You may be able to take advantage of expiring rebate programs. If your utility company is offering rebates on units with a certain level of efficiency, those rebates may end at the end of the year. Having an AC unit installed now means you can take advantage of those rebates before they expire.
