History
The history of Trinity, FL is basically the history of Pasco County. The county’s first permanent settlements and communities started to be established in the late 1880s. The county was named after U.S. Senator Samuel Pasco, who hailed from the area. For a long time, the citrus industry reigned supreme. A major freeze in 1895 threw the industry for a loop, and sawmills became more important to the local economy. The 1920s saw a major land boom, and the population boom began in earnest during the 1960s.

Geography
Trinity takes up a scant 4.2 square miles of land in Pasco County, Florida. It is located near the southwestern corner of the county, which places it in close proximity of the Gulf of Mexico. The layout of the town is quite simple, and its boundaries aren’t strongly defined due to suburban sprawl. Most of the city consists of upscale communities, and many of them are gated.

In 2000, the population of Trinity was 4,279. By the time of the 2010 U.S. Census, it had soared to 10,907. The population boom continues, and it is estimated that the population of the city has reached at least 13,000. At the time of the 2010 census, there were 4,359 housing units and 3,955 households in Trinity. 93.2 percent of the population was white, 5.5 percent was Hispanic or Latino and 1.5 percent was African-American. 34.2 percent of the population of Trinity held bachelor’s degrees or higher, and the median household income was $86,593. Additionally, the homeownership rate of the city was 93.5 percent, and most people stay in their homes for at least one year.

Trinity is not a tourist destination. There aren’t any museums or other cultural attractions within the city limits.
